KANEMASA PHIL. is an original brand of a circular knitwear manufacturer based in Wakayama City, Kayama Prefecture, established in 1964 by Kanemasa Mokko Co., Ltd.
In order to preserve into the future our unique knitting machines specialized for high gauge, jacquard machines that can freely express various patterns, and the unique techniques and craftsmanship required to freely manipulate these knitting machines, our own brand KANEMASA was born from the 2021 SS season. *From the 23AW season, the brand name was changed to "KANEMSA PHIL." upon its overseas launch.

The iconic logo of the brand was designed by Clement Johant, and the design combines the historical background of the 1960s when the brand was first founded with European culture. Based on the concept of "FUTURE CLASSIC / FUTURE VINTAGE", we create clothes for the future that we think about "now".
We think about the future and provide wardrobes that make the wearer feel comfortable, joyful, and happy. KANEMASA PHIL. products reflect the innovation, creativity, craftsmanship, and tradition that we have cultivated and built up over the years, and we do not compromise on anything from materials to design.

PHIL. = Originates from the ancient Greek word φίλος (phílos, “love”), and is an abbreviation of derivative words such as philosophy (appreciation of wisdom and knowledge), philharmony (love of harmony), and phile (lover). Based on the philosophy of “looking back on history to create the future,” we chose this brand name because we want to promote our products to the world.
